Steering wheel with paddle shifters conversion kit for automatic BMW E46 / E39 / E38 / E53 Used

Used BMW E46 M3 CSL 3 Spoke Steering Wheel with Paddles and full wiring harness to adapt any same era BMW (E46, E39, E38, E53) with automatic gearbox. The wiring harness is made so that it will work with the regular automatic gearbox ( not SMG). No wires need to be cut as it uses the OEM connectors. Included is also a special slip ring that has the pins for the extra connection.The paddles will work once the gearbox is put into Sports mode by pushing the gearbox lever to the side. The regular lever will still work if you want to switch gears.The wiring harness has a module attached that is programmed to switch into Sports mode when both paddles are pulled at the same time. This means you can go in to Sports and use the paddles without reaching for the gear lever. Push again and it will go back into Regular mode.The module needs a ground and 12V supply. I used the OBD connector in my E53 and E46 to connect it. Make sure its 12V as some connections near the radio module are less then 12v. Overall install is very easy.Airbag not included. M steering wheel airbag is needed.The steering wheel is thick and soft grip- reupholstered some 10k km ago with black nappa leather with tri color stitches.Fits any E46, E39, E38, E53 with automatic transmission
