Front bumper for E30 Mtech 2. The front bumper/ valance combo eliminates the fitting trouble of two items separately to your car. Also this is a cheap alternative to converting to Euro spec bumper. The color of the part may vary. Please see the last pictures of actual parts fitted on the car. These are brand new aftermarket parts made from GFK. As these are replacement parts professional paint prep and install (some sanding, priming, filling) is always needed.Mounting: Early model cars (the right way)– the US diving board or Euro chrome bumper and brackets and the metal valance need to be removed first. You will need to install Late model metal valance. You will need to install Late model E30 bumper rebar (the white fiberglass reinforcement) with Late model bumper shocks or their replacement brackets. You also need the Late model turn indicators and fog lights or their blanks. The bumper is then slid on the Late model rebar and each arch end is then secured to the cars metal fender with one bolt on the bumpers built in mounts. The center part of the new bumper is secured to the rebar with one bolt under the license plate. The tow hook covers do not have any mounting clips- they need to be glued to the bumper.Early model cars (DIY option)– some owners prefer to not use the Late models metal valance and instead cut the Early models Type2 metal valances lower part off and only use the trim strip bellow the headlights from it. The Early models Type1 metal valance consists of 2 parts so you do not need to cut off the lower part- simply unbolt it. Some also skip the Late model rebars and instead make some custom brackets to support the top planes of the front and rear bumpers from sheet metal or aluminium. Some just use 90 degree angle irons from the home depot secured to the cars body with rivets or self tapping screws to support the top planes of the bumpers. If choosing this route- you will also need to make some custom mounts or use glue for the turn indicators as they originally get bolted to the front rebar. The same applies for the fog lights if not using the Late model metal valance- the fog lights are originally mounted to the Late model metal valance.Late model cars front– first you will need to remove the standard plastic bumper. Then remove the plastic bumpers arch slider brackets from the cars metal fenders. The bumper is then slid on the Late model rebar and each arch end is then secured to the cars metal fender with one bolt on the bumpers built in mounts. The center part of the new bumper is secured to the rebar with one bolt under the license plate. The tow hook covers do not have any mounting clips- they need to be glued to the bumper.Fits: Any E30 (1982-1994) US and Euro
